Le 21 octobre 2009, Thierry Esther était reçu au Sénat pour un cocktail donné en son honneur. Au cours de cette rencontre, organisée par Guy Fischer, vice-président du Sénat chargé des affaires culturelles, l’artiste a remis une toile, « La chambre des pairs », au Président Gérard Larcher. Un hommage à l’institution, mais également un geste de remerciement, pour avoir eu la bienveillance d'accueillir l’exposition Balade qui s’est tenue cet été au Jardin du Luxembourg avec le soutien du Sénat. On October 21st 2009, Thierry Esther was welcomed at the Senate for a cocktail given in his honor. During this gathering, which was organized by Guy Fischer, vice-president of the Senate in charge of cultural affairs, the artist gave a painting, “La chambre des pairs” (the Chamber of Peers), to President Gerard Larcher. The piece is a tribute to the institution, but also a gesture of thanks for the Senators’ support of his exhibition Balade which was held this summer in the Jardin du Luxembourg, under the direction of the Senate.
